Train 48 was an innovative instant drama that blended news and current affairs, soap opera and audience interaction with the unfolding storylines of a group of train travellers as they commuted home from work.  The series starred Raoul Bhaneja, Joanne Boland, Paul Braunstein, Joe Dinicol, Ingrid Hart, Andrew Martin, Lisa Merchant, Jack Mosshammer, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee and Krista Sutton.  Produced in association with Protocol Entertainment, Train 48 was filmed entirely in Global’s Toronto studio.  Each half-hour episode was scripted, shot, edited and broadcast daily, with the actors improvising most of the dialogue.  Train 48 allowed viewers, viawww.train48.com, to vote on issues or characters, suggest storylines and contribute topics for discussion. Broadcast: 2003 – 2005.    Time slot: daily Monday to Fridays, 7:00 pm

Running time: 30 minutes
