In Terre humaine, the author Mia Riddez described life in rural Quebec, where farmers and their offspring clashed over certain values, the former wishing to preserve the practices of their ancestors and the latter defending the virtues of modernity and progress.

The cast included Guy Provost, Marjolaine Hébert, Jean Duceppe, Louise Portal and Sylvie Léonard.
