On June 1st 2010 Canwest Broadcasting announced that the Global Network's fall schedule would include a new Canadian drama series starring Callum Keith Rennie.  In the new series,  to be titled Shattered, Rennie would play the role of Ben Sullivan, an unconventional homicide detective harbouring the secret of his battle with Multiple Personality Disorder.  Shattered would also star Molly Parker as Ben's wife Ella.

 Gemini Award-winning actor Camille Sullivan ("Da Vinci's Inquest") was cast in the role of Rennie's new partner on the homicide squad.

 The series would be scheduled on Fridays at 9:00pm , with a start date to be anounced, and 13 one-hour episodes had been ordered.

On June 8th, Hollywood Reporter reported that NBC Universal's Universal Networks International (UNI) had picked up the foreign pay TV distribution rights to "Shattered" .

 The series ran on Global from September 1st to Novemnber 17th, and was not renewed.
