In the TV soap opera Rue de l'anse, Jovette Bernier and Guy Fournier described the adventures of the Joli family, who lived in Belle-Rivière, in the Gaspésie. The plot followed the comings and goings of Félix Joli, who owned a schooner, La Gentille, as well as those of his wife Ange-Aimée and their 12-year-old son.

From 1963 to 1965, Radio-Canada aired 91 episodes of Rue de l'anse. This TV soap opera, directed by Pierre Gauvreau,  starred Gilles Pelletier, Gisèle Schmidt, Juliette Huot and Daniel Gadouas.
