Words and Music Devised, or so the credits said, by bandleader Sammy Kaye, Words and Music was a daytime strip game show which asked contestants to identify people, places or things through a series of words and musical clues. For example, “Sport you might enjoy here” would be followed by the playing of “Moonlight in Vermont”, with “skiing” being the looked-for answer to the clue. As clues were solved, they were displayed on a crossword style game board, and the first clue-solver to identify the subject of the game was the winner.
