CBC Film Festival

Aired Tuesday nights from June to July, 1979, Saturday nights during the summer of 1979 and the summer of 1980.
Canadian feature films were brought to television for the first time during this special series. Don Elder was the producer of the festival and it featured many Canadian pictures now considered classics, including, J.A. Martin, Photographer, Who Has Seen The Wind?, Kamouraska, Deadly Harvest, Lies My Father Told Me, and Sudden Fury.
During the first season, the series included interviews with movie directors, including Martin Scorsese, Sam Fuller, John Schlesinger, Don Siegal and John Sturges.
