Set in 1850, this children's drama followed the travels of siblings Matt (Derrick Jones) and Jenny Tanner (Megan Follows) as they leave England with their mother, who dies en route, to find their uncle in Canada. The orphaned children are left on their own in Canada, trying to find their uncle, as they travel from Halifax to Vancouver with two adults, Kit (Duncan Regehr) and the mysterious Dr. Cardston (Neil Dainard), watching out for them. The show, also known as Matt and Jenny on the Wilderness Trail, appeared in several other countries including Holland and Germany.
