Last Of The Wild

Broadcast Run:
1976 to 1977
Broadcast Medium:
Television

Last of the Wild was the first of two half-hour filmed wildlife series which Lorne Green did for CTV and for U.S. syndication. This one was produced by noted U.S. wildlife authority Ivan Tors, with Greene narrating over footage acquired from a multitude of international sources. His participation gained the program Canadian content status, but the series only lasted one year. It played on Sundays at 5:00pm in the 1976-77 season.

Green returned to the network in a much more successful series of this type in 1982 with New Wilderness (q.v.).
