La classe de 5e

Broadcast Run:
2009
Broadcast Medium:
Television

La classe de 5e is a TV game show that was first broadcast on February 5, 2009. It is an adaptation of the American concept Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader? hosted by Charles Lafortune.

The program challenges contestants, 18 years old and older, to prove that they're more intelligent than a grade 5 student, by asking them questions pertaining to general culture (history, French, geography, mathematics, spelling, geometry, music, etc.) drawn from an elementary school program. The contestants can win up to $250,000. If the contestant doesn't beat the grade 5 student, they have to turn towards the camera and admit: "I'm not as smart as a grade 5 student".
