Jackpot

Broadcast Run:
1985 to 1991
Broadcast Medium:
Television

Hosted by Mike Darrow, this game show was based on one by the same name from the U.S. A huge number of contestants for a game show, 15, tried to win a chance at the podium to answer a riddle from someone else in the group of contestants. If they were correct, the contestant won the dollar value assigned to that particular riddle. But if they answered incorrectly, the contestant at the podium lost their place to the one who asked the question from the contestant pool. If a contestant picked the hidden "Jackpot" question, a larger pot of money was shared between the questioner (who usually yelled out loudly, "Jackpot!", when selected) and the one who answered the question correctly.
