Dieu merci! was a variety show adapted from the Australian series Thank God You're Here. The program host was Éric Salvail and it first went on the air on September 27, 2007.

Every week, the host Éric Salvail welcomed personalities who tested their acting talents and quickwittedness. The artist was invited to go through a door behind which there was a scripted scene of a sketch that had been set up. He or she had no idea what is behind this door, nor the characters that awaited him or her there. Their big challenge was to incorporate themselves into the sketch as smoothly as possible. The judge, Gaston Lepage, commented on each performance and determined the show's winner.
