Ballooner Landing was a mythical guest ranch for children. Hosts Lee and Sandy Paley and their sidekicks, Dogood Dog, Prudence the Parrot and Tex Critter the Flea, hosted this series, based in Calgary, which provided children with a half-hour of fun, stories and song. The Paleys, who once owned a music store and sold it to produce their first album for children, wrote over 50 original songs for the series that carried messages of caring, friendship and love to their young viewers. The Paleys went on to tour extensively with their music from their own albums and from the songs written for Ballooner Landing.
