Aired Sunday nights for six weeks during the summer of 1978.

With the growing interest in FM radio and stereo broadcasting, the CBC presented six one-hour programs of classical music to both viewers and listeners. The programs were simulcast on the Stereo network featuring light classical music from the country's best orchestras.

Productions originated from Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, Hamilton, Halifax and Quebec City. Guest soloists included soprano Marie Claire Seguin, pianist Monica Gaylord, oboeist Jon Peterson and the Canadian Brass.
