Piano Alley

Aired Thursday nights from April 30 to June 11, 1981.

This short series of 8 music shows featured eight different pianos in
one music store. Bob Quinn, who hosted the program, would sit at a
particular piano and tell stories relevant to the instrument. The
producer of the show was Jack O’Neil, and the program was based in Halifax.

Dream Funded: Let the Crowd Decide

On March 6th 2015, CTV announced  the start of production on a new one-hour reality series pilot, Dream Funded: Let the Crowd Decide, to be produced by CTV in association with Entertainment One (eOne), Highway Entertainment, and United Artists Media Group. The pilot was described as the first project from Bell Media's partnership with United Artists Media Group (a newly formed joint venture among MGM, Mark Burnett, Roma Downey, and Hearst Entertainment) and Omnicom Media Groups' Highway Entertainment.

Social, The

On March 25, 2013 CTV announced that it had ordered The Social, a one-hour, daily Canadian talk series from Bell Media In-House Productions, for the  2013/14 broadcast season.

 CTV said that the talk show would offer "...fresh perspective on pop culture and lifestyle topics through friendly debate and social media, email and text messaging".

Played

In January 10th 2013, CTV President of Programming and Sports, Phil King, announced that the network had ordered thirteen one-hour episodes of a new police drama, with the working title of Played.

 The premise involved following the work of an undercover police unit to be called the Covert Investigations Unit (CIU), and would feature an ensemble cast that was still to be announced.

Motive

On May 31, 2012 CTV announced that it had ordered a new procedural drama series titled Motive from Vancouver-based Foundation Features and Lark Productions. Thirteen episodes of the one-hour drama had been ordered. Motive would follow a female Vancouver homicide detective who matched wits with killers in a dangerous cat-and-mouse game. Daniel Cerone was named as Executive Producer.

Masterchef Canada

CTV announced on November 24th 2013  that the Network would be launching a one-hour Canadian version of the successful US series Masterchef on January 20th 2014, under the title Masterchef Canada.

The series would feature distinguished Canadian culinary experts Michael Bonacini, Alvin Leung, and Claudio Aprile as judges, and would celebrate "a passion for food, cooking, and the diversity of Canadian cuisine".

Amazing Race Canada

On Sunday, December 9th 2012, in an exclusive on-air message to Canadians during an episode of the U.S series The Amazing Race,  host Phil Keoghan announced on behalf of CTV that the network had ordered The Amazing Race Canada, a Canadian-produced, complementary version of the hit international series.

Satisfaction

On June 29th 2012, CTV announced a pilot order for a new ensemble comedy, titled Satisfaction, from Halifax's DHX Media, written by Tim McAuliffe and produced by Michael Donovan. The cast would include Luke MacFarlane Stephanie Lemelin , Ryan Belleville, Vic Sahay and Leah Renee. No start date was projected.
