CHCT-TV started out March 13 as a cable-only community access channel on Fundy Cable in St. Andrews.

2005

On November 23, St. Andrews Community Channel Inc. was awarded a licence to operate a not-for-profit English community-based low power television station at St. Andrews. The station would initially broadcast a minimum of 14 hours of original programming each week, which would be augmented by local archived programming. All programming would be locally produced and would include segments dealing with youth, education, sporting events, bingo, community news and Town Council meetings. The station would broadcast on channel 26 with an effective radiated power of 100 watts.

2006

CHCT-TV began over-the-air broadcasting on channel 26 on November 1.

Effective September 1st 2019, we will only be adding new material to these station histories in exceptional circumstances. Our intent to chronicle the early days of these radio and television stations has been achieved, and many new sources and technologies, from the
CRTC website to Wikipedia, and others, are now regularly providing new information in these areas.
