On July 19, Les Communications de Matane Inc. was given approval to operate a new AM station at Matane. It would broadcast on a frequency of 1290 kHz with a power of 10,000 watts (omnidirectional). Roger Dion, Mayor of Matane, was a substantial shareholder in the company. Les Communications de Matane Inc. also wanted to operate an AM station at Cap-Chat (1380 kHz,  1,000 watts) but that application was denied.

 

1975

CHRM 1290 signed on the air on April 13.

On December 4, CHRM was authorized to move to a new transmitter site.

 

1982

On August 12, CHRM was given permission to affiliate with the Radiomutuel network.

 

1990

On April 5, CHRM was licensed to operate a new FM station at Matane. The new station would offer a soft rock format targeted to the 20 to 44 age group. As a result, CHRM would move from a contemporary MOR to a more traditional MOR format.

 

1991

On June 9th, CHRM launched CHOE-FM.

 

2000

On May 10, CHRM was given approval to move to the FM dial, operating on 105.3 MHz with an effective radiated power of 30,000 watts.

 

2001

CHRM 1290 made the move to FM as CHRM-FM. 

 

2002

CHRM was given approval to add a transmitter at Les Méchins, operating on 104.1 MHz with an effective radiated power of 49 watts.

 

2005

On June 8, Les Communications Matane inc. was given approval to change the frequency of  CHRM-FM-1 Les Méchins from 104.1 MHz to 91.3 MHz. The change was to improve the signal quality of the station. Power would remain 49 watts.

2006

On August 31 the CRTC renewed CHRM-FM's licence until August 31, 2013. The renewal included rebroadcast transmitter CHRM-FM-1 Les Mechins. 

2016

In April, the CRTC approved CHRM's application to delete CHRM-FM-1 91.3 in Les Mechins.  In the same month the transmitter ceased operations.

The CRTC approved the change of ownership of CHRM-FM from Les Communications Matane to Attraction Media.

2017

In January, CHRM changed fromat from Adult Contemporary/Talk to Hot AC as Plaisir 105.3.
