Jim Perry, a guitar-playing folk singer who was soon to become a familiar face to CTV viewers as host of the Miss Canada Pageant, was the first host of this half-hour daytime strip game show. It required contestants to listen to and decipher phonetic versions of well-known phrases as they were read to them by their partners – eg “Inner Santa’s Abe Abe” for “Innocent as a babe”, or Whole deaf wreath ink” for “Hold Everything”.

The series ran for two years on CTV. The first season, 1965-66, was produced for CTV at CFCF-TV in Montreal, and ran daily Monday to Friday at 3:00pm. For the second season, production was moved to CJOH-TV Ottawa, with local announcer comedian Les Lye as host. The program ran daily 11:00 – 11:30am, and ended its brief run in September 1967.
